On October 10, the courtyard at The Arbor Event Venue in Omaha wore its best autumn colors. Warm sun, golden leaves, and a wooden arbor covered in cream florals and trailing greenery set the stage for Logan and John's wedding day. We were honored to photograph it.
A garden ceremony beneath the florals
Guests gathered on wooden cross-back chairs under string lights and changing leaves as the ceremony began. Logan's father walked her down the aisle in a soft green tie, her bouquet of white roses and greenery held close. John's mother, in emerald green, walked him in.
Beneath the arbor, Logan and John held hands, said their vows, and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Moments later, they raised their arms together in front of family and friends, newly married and beaming.
The quiet moments we love
Some of our favorite frames are the quiet ones: a father's kiss for his daughter, a tight hug between Logan and her dad, and a gentle kiss from John as Logan smiled. Then there were the portraits among the fallen red and orange leaves, where a simple dip and a kiss became one of the most joyful images of the day.
An evening to remember
Inside, the ballroom glowed with draped fabric, a chandelier, and soft string lights. Logan and John made their grand entrance through a doorway draped in ivy, then settled in at a long head table with white linens and low florals. Dinner was served buffet style, followed by a classic white cake dressed in fresh flowers and greenery.
Then came the dances: a first dance for Logan and John, a father-daughter dance, and a dance between John and his mother. Before long, the dance floor was full, and the night ended with sunglasses on, including a pair of heart-shaped ones.
